Recipe
This is yet another variation on the simple sour formula with some modified ingredients. Measure, combine, shake, strain and serve!
Notes - It’s super easy to make infused spirits. For the raspberry infused vodka, I used a sous vide machine with 2 cups of fresh raspberries and enough vodka to cover the berries. Add both items in a 1 quart mason jar, seal, and stand upright in a pot water so that the full volume of the jar is submerged. Place the sous vide machine in the water and set at 135 degrees F for 3 hours. Strain the vodka into a clean jar and save the berries for garnish in another cocktail or as a boozy topping for vanilla ice cream.
No sous vide machine? No problem - just put the vodka and berries in the sealed jar in the refrigerator for a couple of days and shake it every 12 hours. Taste daily until the berry flavor is to your liking. Why buy flavored vodkas full of sugar and other extraneous ingredients when making your own is this easy? It works with citrus, herbs, cucumber, jalapeño, etc.
